HYBRID FULL ARCH & CROWN REHABILITATION
Damian Medway, 42, from the UK
• Lower Jaw: All on 6 with Titanium Bar
• Upper Jaw: 1 Dental Implant + 12 Crowns
A jaw specific, hybrid treatment plan was designed to restore function while preserving healthy structures where possible.
For the lower jaw, an All on 6 treatment with a titanium bar supported prosthesis was selected to provide maximum strength, stability, and long term durability.
For the upper jaw, one dental implant was placed to replace the missing tooth, combined with twelve crowns to restore bite balance, function, and aesthetics without unnecessary full arch surgery.
This hybrid approach allowed each jaw to be treated according to its clinical needs rather than applying a single solution to both.
Damian presented with significant tooth damage and missing teeth in the lower jaw, resulting in reduced chewing efficiency and long term functional instability.
Clinical examination and panoramic imaging showed that the lower jaw could no longer be restored predictably with individual treatments. The upper jaw retained enough natural teeth to allow a more conservative restorative approach rather than a full arch surgical solution.
Clinical examination and panoramic imaging showed advanced structural compromise, poor long term prognosis of the remaining teeth, and insufficient support to maintain conventional restorations.
Given the condition of the existing teeth and bone structure, a full arch implant solution was indicated for both jaws to restore function and long term stability.
Post treatment panoramic imaging confirmed stable implant placement in both jaws and successful integration of the titanium bar supported lower prosthesis.
The final result provided a fixed, functional bite with improved chewing comfort, long term stability, and a balanced aesthetic outcome across both arches.
