FULL MOUTH CROWN REHABILITATION
Kerry Sloan, 64, from the UK
• 26 Dental Crowns
• 5 Composite Fillings
• 1 Root Canal Treatment
• 1 Fibre Post & Core Restoration
A conservative yet comprehensive full mouth rehabilitation plan was designed to restore strength, function, and long term stability while preserving Kerry’s natural teeth.
A total of twenty six dental crowns were planned across both arches to rebuild the bite, correct wear patterns, and restore uniform aesthetics.
Five composite fillings were placed to address smaller areas of decay, while one tooth underwent root canal treatment and fibre post core placement to reinforce the tooth structure before crown restoration.
This approach allowed full functional rehabilitation without unnecessary extractions or implant placement.
Kerry presented with multiple heavily restored teeth, failing fillings, and general wear across both arches, leading to reduced function and an uneven bite.
Clinical examination and panoramic imaging revealed widespread restorative needs rather than tooth loss, making her a suitable candidate for a comprehensive crown based rehabilitation rather than implant surgery.
Several teeth required additional stabilisation due to previous decay and structural weakness, including one tooth that required root canal treatment followed by fibre post and core reinforcement.
Post treatment panoramic imaging confirmed stable restorations, balanced occlusion, and well distributed bite forces across both arches.
The final result delivered a strong, functional, and aesthetically consistent smile with improved comfort for daily activities such as eating and speaking.
