TREATMENT PLAN
Shaun initially received comprehensive restorative treatment in September 2024 at another clinic, including multiple dental crowns, implant placement in the upper jaw, a closed sinus lifting procedure to support implant stability, and the extraction of a compromised tooth.
In April 2025, he returned to our clinic as an aftercare patient following fractures in several crowns. A detailed clinical and radiographic assessment was carried out to evaluate crown integrity, implant integration, occlusion, and overall load distribution.
The treatment plan focused on preserving the existing implants and restorations while correcting prosthetic failures. Cracked crowns were carefully removed and replaced with new restorations. Occlusion was reassessed and refined to reduce excessive forces and minimise the risk of future crown fractures.
This conservative aftercare approach prioritised functional correction, material durability, and long term stability without unnecessary surgical intervention.
BEFORE
At presentation for aftercare, Shaun reported issues related to cracked crowns affecting comfort and function. Radiographic evaluation confirmed stable implant integration in the upper jaw, with prosthetic complications limited to the crown restorations.

AFTER
Post treatment panoramic imaging confirmed stable implant positioning and well seated new crown restorations with improved occlusal balance. The replaced crowns demonstrated proper alignment and structural integrity.
Following aftercare treatment, Shaun regained comfortable chewing function and improved confidence in his restorations. The outcome provided a stable, functional, and maintainable solution supported by a structured aftercare and follow up approach focused on long term performance.
