HYBRID IMPLANT & CROWN REHABILITATION
Sylvanus Onipede, 60, from the UK
• Lower Jaw: All on 6 with Bar
• Upper Jaw: 2 Dental Implants + 12 Crowns
A tailored, jaw specific treatment plan was designed to restore function while preserving healthy structures where possible.
For the lower jaw, an All on 6 treatment with a bar supported prosthesis was selected to provide maximum strength, stability, and long term durability.
For the upper jaw, two dental implants were placed to support missing teeth, combined with twelve crowns to restore bite balance, function, and aesthetics without unnecessary full arch surgery.
This hybrid approach allowed each jaw to be treated according to its clinical needs rather than applying a single solution to both.
Sylvanus presented with advanced tooth loss and failing restorations, particularly in the lower jaw, resulting in reduced chewing efficiency and compromised long term stability.
Clinical examination and panoramic imaging showed that a full arch implant solution was required for the lower jaw, while the upper jaw retained sufficient natural teeth to be restored conservatively using implants and crown restorations.
Post treatment panoramic imaging confirmed stable implant placement in both jaws and well integrated restorations.
The final result provided a fixed, functional bite with improved chewing comfort and long term dental stability across both arches.
